ALAN NG
Alan was Director of International Engagement Department in Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). He was also a founding Director of IPOS International Pte Ltd (IPOS-I), a wholly owned subsidiary of IPOS, to structure multiple-parties business deals and ventures. The mandate of IPOS-I is to venture into commercial partnerships with both governmental and non-governmental entities to expand the IP ecosystem for Singapore and ASEAN.
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) is a sovereign wealth fund set up by the Abu Dhabi government in 1971 with a paid-up capital of US$2 billion. In his five years as ADFD Advisor to the Board of Directors and Director-General, Alan also served as Chairman of the Committee for Strategy Planning and Corporate Performance. As a result of the committee’s work, ADFD has won various certifications and awards.
In 2008, it received the first ever ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certificate. In 2009 it was awarded the prestigious EFQM Organization Excellence Certificate from the Abu Dhabi Executive Council headed by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nayhan; and in 2011, it was awarded the top honors for the 2011 International Business Award under the Government Organization category.
Alan was also a founding Director of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise; Project Director of International Enterprise Singapore; and Director’s Advisor to the Board of Directors in the Asian Development Bank; Private-Sector Liaison Officer to the World Bank Group.
Alan holds an MBA (2004) and BSc Economics 2nd Class Upper (1997) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 2009 he received a diploma from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) in recognition of his successful qualification as EFQM Excellence Assessor 2010 Model.
